Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle. Responsibilities include HR administration, recruitment coordination, employee records management, payroll support, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations, HR policies, performance management, compensation, benefits, and workplace concerns.
- Support performance improvement, progressive discipline, corrective action, and workplace investigations, ensuring appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
- Support employee engagement, retention, workplace culture, onboarding, and offboarding initiatives.
- Manage and support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers, and new-hire orientation.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and competency profiles.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee, payroll, benefits, and personnel records and prepare required HR reports and metrics.
- Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and organizational best practices.

Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs.
- Process enrollments, changes, terminations, claims, and benefit billings.
- Support annual benefit renewals and open enrollment.

Payroll Administration
- Support the outsourced processing of semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Review payroll data, timesheets, overtime, vacation, leaves, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other adjustments.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding payroll, vacation, and related matters.

Health & Safety
- Coordinate and track mandatory training, professional development, continuing education, health and safety, and workplace harassment training.
- Support occupational health and safety programs and WCB processes in collaboration with the Health and Safety Advisor.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

-Post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution related to Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and relevant Human Resources experience
-Minimum 4 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment standards, labour legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Experience with employee relations, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and confidentially.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS platforms, and related technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- CPHR designation, or working toward designation, is considered an asset.
